Do you know that the word capitalized "LORD" found in Scriptures is the translation of the word "Yahovah" which is the ancient Hebrew's written prevention of the reader calling the Name of the LORD in vain. That Name is YAHWEH.
The Name Yahweh as all other names in Scripture is heavily significant regarding defining the nature, character, and even authority of what it is attached to. The Name Yahweh means "The Self Existent". In identification with Christ, we being Sons of "The Self Existent" makes us exactly what Christ is i.e. "The Self Existent" also. This is confirmed by:
For just as the Father has life in Himself [and is self-existent], even so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself [and be self-existent].
This simply points in the direction that the Scriptures are all pointing towards the fact that man was made in the image and likeness of God (The Self Existent) and was, therefore, Self Existent (being in His image and likeness). His fall changed his perspective from self-existence to depending on external creation for existence. This was in fact, the serpent's argument in the Garden: that the fruit would give wisdom and not that the woman's wisdom was self-existent.
The Law was therefore put in place to control the wickedness arising from dependency on other creation for existence (because of the separation from God) and the Messiah is the restoration of the self-existence in union with God.
If we interchange the meaning of the word YAHWEH where we see the word LORD in Scriptures, this becomes more prominently evident.
Let's take a look using Psalm 1:
Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by THE SELF-EXISTENT] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). 2 But his delight is in the law of the SELF-EXISTENT, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. 3 And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
4 The wicked [those who live in disobedience to THE SELF-EXISTENT'S law] are not so, But they are like the chaff [worthless and without substance] which the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand [unpunished] in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For THE SELF-EXISTENT knows and fully approves the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked shall perish.
As can be seen, especially in the perspective of the New Covenant, where the Spirit of God who is the Spirit of Power, Riches, Wisdom, Strength, Glory, Honor, and Blessings, is in your heart/ Spirit/ Mind, "walking in the Spirit" is simply walking in the mindset of SELF-EXISTENCE (because of His Presence). not dependent on other creation for existence, peace, approval nor validation.
The mindset and counsel of the "wicked" therefore is the mindset of the person who depends on other creation for existence, peace, approval, and validation. This is the mindset that sees lack and will do whatever it takes to get what it depends on. If it doesn't, it suffers from depression. And, when it does, it behaves (or suffers) in arrogance.
